Desolation Wilderness

Image
Hey Zach, how is your summer going? Quickly I'll bet. Can't believe August is tomorrow! You are probably thinking about school starting back up and getting ready for the next new wave of classes you registered for. Wish I could share in a small part of that with you.  Jeff and I just got back from desolation wilderness with your Uncle Gregg and Auntie Kim. Cody had to work and couldn't make it this time because we went over the 4th of July. Nothing like sleeping under a million stars. Makes missing the fireworks all worth it. We were in good shape this time around having kept up the workouts so the hike wasn't as hard. You really cannot beat the scenery. The weather was great and we even played in the snow in our shorts. One day you will have to come with us. I attached a couple of pictures so you cann see what it's like up there. Really spectacular and pristine scenery. Hope you enjoy the last few weeks of summer break. Be safe my love. I miss you every day. Love ...

Wishing it was you.......

Hi Zach! I was able to figure out that someone from Spring, TX had been visiting this blog regularly for over the past couple of years. I was really hoping it was you but figured out it wasn't once you moved to Southern California last summer and the visits kept coming from Texas. Suddenly starting in April the visits stopped coming from Texas and started coming from Kuwait. I'm not surprised by this at all. Between my email being broken into years ago and the continued regular attention to my blog it certainly proves what I've professed all along. Someone from your household has a disturbing and rather psychotic obsession with my life. Even now that they are living on the other side of the world!! LOL! I do feel some comfort knowing you are no longer living in that toxic environment and being subjected to such despicable influence. I hope you are finding some independence and freedom now that you are able to meet new people who have a healthy and compassionate outlook...

Summertime

Guess what Zach? Jeff, Uncle Gregg, Auntie Kim and I are finally going back up to Desolation Wilderness tomorrow. Grueling hike but so worth it once you get there. We are staying for three nights to enjoy the pristine air and scenery. Your brother will be moving to Walnut Creek at the end of the week. Robbie decided to move in with his girlfriend and Cody was going to look for his own place but things are just too expensive around here so he found a room in a house about a mile from work with a great couple his age that he sees come into Safeway all the time. He made a very mature decision that I know took a lot of courage, but it will be a great opportunity to save money and because the homeowner is in construction, Cody will have a chance to make extra money doing odd jobs and learning some things about the trade. I am so excited for him. I am sure you are well into your Southern California summer by now. The weather down there is so awesome, lots of parties on the beach with bonfire...
