Last Friday in May update

Well here we are near the end of a rainy month. Getting ready for a sunshine filled weekend and thinking about what you might be doing for fun. Hope you will be going to some BBQs as you near the end of your stay here in California. Cody has Senior Ball tomorrow night which means another tux rental and lots of pictures. My weekend will be spent getting the house ready for summer. I have a bit of painting to do and there are always regular chores to be done as well, uugh!

Had to take Rudy into the vet this week because he was coughing a lot and seemed to have something stuck in his throat. After X-rays and blood work they found a small metal object in his stomach that I was told will pass through him in time. He is my trouble maker and is worse than a toddler in that he puts everything in his mouth and tries to eat it. I will just have to keep a closer eye on him and vacuum more often. I love him and Stitch too much to let anything happen. They have given me a lot of comfort this past year since I adopted them.

Anyway, guess I better sign off before I ramble on too much. The whole family says hello and sends their love. You are so precious to me and you are in my thoughts every minute. I am here for you always and love you dearly.

Waiting for Spring

Hi Zach, we are waiting for spring to come here in Benicia as most days have been  rainy and chilly. Your mom has always loved beach weather and can’t wait for summer lol. Hope that wherever you are, you are enjoying the outdoors. Aside from celebrating Jeff’s 54th birthday, February was fairly quiet around here. I have been working a lot of shifts at the winery which is still the best job ever and Jeff and I have been preparing for the first vacation. we have had alone together in two years. We flew down to Curaçao, which is part of the Netherland Antilles and is close to Aruba. We had a very relaxing and amazing time in the warm weather and on the beautiful beaches. Came home to that drizzly chill and are back to waiting for sunshine. I often wonder if you travel for fun and if so, what places you have discovered and if you have any favorites. Holiday Spirit

  Dear Zach, hoping you got the Christmas and birthday cards I sent to you. Cannot believe you are 30 years old now. I can’t really say time has flown given  that not being able to see you has left a huge void in our lives. The holiday season is always bittersweet in that our family always finds ways to celebrate and love one another, but there  are always thoughts of missing  you intertwined.  Jeff and I flew Cody down for the Benicia annual Christmas tree lighting and to see Nana and granddad. It was a short but very special weekend. I have included the video where Cody surprised your grandparents with his visit. It made them both so happy. It was Jeff’s family’s turn for Christmas so we flew up to Washington to be with his nephew, Maxon and the rest of the family. When I’m Sixty-Four.

Hi Zach, well, now I am officially the age of a Beatles song. It’s hard to believe I’m that old and have yet to reunite with you. It’s been almost 15 years.  I think of you every day of my life and pray that you are happy and loved.  Of course, October means Halloween, one of my favorite holidays. We met up with friends to celebrate and I dressed as Beth from the television show Yellowstone. Perhaps you’ve heard of it. Earlier in the month your aunt Christine and I went to a meet and greet for the actor Sam Heughan from outlander. It’s a show. We are both obsessed with that takes place in 18th century Scotland around the clan Fraser. Up until a few years ago, I had no idea that Jeff’s family are Fraser’s and Fraser is his younger brother‘s and father’s middle name. My head exploded lol.
