Fun Under Water

Hey Zach, hope you are having fun during your last few days of being a freshman and getting ready for your trip to New York. Jeff found an underwater camera that had pictures he had taken a while ago but he didn't know what they were. Guess what came back from the photo shop?...Looks like you are as at home underwater as you are on stage. I remember how good you were on the swim team and how hard you worked. I didn't know how much until I did the parent relay at city meet that almost killed me. I found new respect for what it took for you to compete in swimming. Skill and Stamina and you had both!!

In other news....I have been on a fund raising team for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society for the past 3 months in order to help Lisa become woman of the year. We have helped her raise a lot of money for this cause by holding car washes, wine tastings and restaurant nights and will find out tomorrow at a big charity gala dinner in San Francisco if she wins. Jeff, Michelle and her fiance, Brittany, Michael, and I were all invited to attend as VIPs. Exciting stuff.

Anyway, just want to give you some updates and hope that you have a wonderful weekend. Thinking of you always....

Waiting for Spring

Hi Zach, we are waiting for spring to come here in Benicia as most days have been  rainy and chilly. Your mom has always loved beach weather and can’t wait for summer lol. Hope that wherever you are, you are enjoying the outdoors. Aside from celebrating Jeff’s 54th birthday, February was fairly quiet around here. I have been working a lot of shifts at the winery which is still the best job ever and Jeff and I have been preparing for the first vacation. we have had alone together in two years. We flew down to Curaçao, which is part of the Netherland Antilles and is close to Aruba. We had a very relaxing and amazing time in the warm weather and on the beautiful beaches. Came home to that drizzly chill and are back to waiting for sunshine. I often wonder if you travel for fun and if so, what places you have discovered and if you have any favorites. Holiday Spirit

  Dear Zach, hoping you got the Christmas and birthday cards I sent to you. Cannot believe you are 30 years old now. I can’t really say time has flown given  that not being able to see you has left a huge void in our lives. The holiday season is always bittersweet in that our family always finds ways to celebrate and love one another, but there  are always thoughts of missing  you intertwined.  Jeff and I flew Cody down for the Benicia annual Christmas tree lighting and to see Nana and granddad. It was a short but very special weekend. I have included the video where Cody surprised your grandparents with his visit. It made them both so happy. It was Jeff’s family’s turn for Christmas so we flew up to Washington to be with his nephew, Maxon and the rest of the family. When I’m Sixty-Four.

Hi Zach, well, now I am officially the age of a Beatles song. It’s hard to believe I’m that old and have yet to reunite with you. It’s been almost 15 years.  I think of you every day of my life and pray that you are happy and loved.  Of course, October means Halloween, one of my favorite holidays. We met up with friends to celebrate and I dressed as Beth from the television show Yellowstone. Perhaps you’ve heard of it. Earlier in the month your aunt Christine and I went to a meet and greet for the actor Sam Heughan from outlander. It’s a show. We are both obsessed with that takes place in 18th century Scotland around the clan Fraser. Up until a few years ago, I had no idea that Jeff’s family are Fraser’s and Fraser is his younger brother‘s and father’s middle name. My head exploded lol.
