Random Thoughts

Hey Zach, I have gotten a little behind on posting these so will try to catch up. Not sure if your dad told you that Nana became very ill last week and needed to have a blood transfusion. She is out of the woods now, but we were all very worried. Nana never slows down and this really hit her hard. All of us are going to try to make sure she takes better care of herself from now on. By now Cody has been in Maui with you for almost a week and I hope you have all been having a wonderful time. Sounds like a fabulous place and I am glad you are getting the chance to spend some time with Cody since it had been so long. I watched a movie last night that had an unexpected ending tied with September 11th. It was about family relationships and got me thinking about ours and wishing things could be different. I really miss you and wish we could move forward, but I know right now you are not ready for that. Maybe one day? Until then, I will keep writing to you here and catching you up on the lives...

Hi Zach. Lots going on and was trying to get pictures from everyone. We had a great picnic on the Sausalito waterfront for 4th of July and saw the fireworks over the water. Weather was great and we also celebrated Granddad's 75th birthday too! Elaine is here from England. Not sure if you remember but she is Hannah, Mark & Simon's mom and loves to come visit here. Anyway we had some great food and a lot of Uncle Gregg & Auntie Kim's friends were there along with me & Jeff of course. Poor Cody had to work, but went to see the fireworks at his friend Cody's house. All in all it was a terrific holiday. I hope you had a good one and got to see friends and fireworks. I am getting ready for a business trip to Minnesota. Not my favorite place....lots of Mosquitoes and humidity but all my coworkers are back there and it will be nice to spend time with them. We all watched the world cup finals today and I was happy that Spain took the trophy. A European country has ...
Hi Zach, well by now you are probably back from NY. I hope you had a wonderful time and perhaps you would be willing to share some of your experiences here on the blog. Next up, Maui. You are becoming a world traveler ;-) Lots coming up on this end.....Going over to Sausalito to watch the fireworks for 4th of July. We will be celebrating Granddad's 75th birthday! That's quite a milestone. The whole family will be there and we are going to have a picnic on the waterfront where they have the show so should be lot's of fun. Auntie Kim, Uncle Gregg, Lisa, Jeff, Cody & Mel will all be there and off course Nana and Granddad. A bit of sad news for Uncle Gregg....Maui, his Ocicat, has been sick with pneumonia these past few weeks and wasn't getting any better. They did a lung biopsy and found out he has cancer and there is no saving him. This will be the 3rd cat your uncle has lost and Maui is only 4 years old so it's very sad. Remember they lost Maui's sister Sier...
