Michelle's getting married

Hey Zach, hope things are going really well in school and otherwise back there in Texas. Not sure if you heard or not, but Brittany's mom is getting married in November to a wonderful man she has known most of her life. His name is Dean and Michelle and he dated when they were 16 and reconnected early last year. It's very exciting for everyone as we are all helping to plan the wedding. Michelle wants something very low key but she has asked her friends to help with decorating and invitations, etc. We are having lots of fun turning her ideas and plans into a reality. This is a very happy time for Michelle and for Brittany as she really likes Dean.


We are also getting ready for Alicia to have her baby girl. She and Ryan have said their chosen name for her starts with a 'J' so we are all trying to guess what it will be. We saw them both last weekend and Alicia is so ready to have her. On another note, your brother has picked up skateboarding and is spending a lot of time with Robbie, Cody & Mitch practicing. He has had is job at Safeway for over a year and a half now-not bad. Jeff and I had our 6-year anniversary last weekend but I was a little under the weather so we will celebrate on another day. Anyway, sorry I hadn't written to you in a while, things are very busy at work and with Cody too. I hope and pray you are able to log in and read my notes to you and I hope one day you will respond and get in touch. I miss you so much Zach and it is very hard not being a part of your life and hearing about all your new experiences. I love you very much.

P.S. Almost forgot...Auntie Kim & Uncle Gregg are getting 2 new kitties tomorrow and have named them Bora and Bali. They are sisters and will give Soho a run for his money!

Waiting for Spring

Hi Zach, we are waiting for spring to come here in Benicia as most days have been  rainy and chilly. Your mom has always loved beach weather and can’t wait for summer lol. Hope that wherever you are, you are enjoying the outdoors. Aside from celebrating Jeff’s 54th birthday, February was fairly quiet around here. I have been working a lot of shifts at the winery which is still the best job ever and Jeff and I have been preparing for the first vacation. we have had alone together in two years. We flew down to Curaçao, which is part of the Netherland Antilles and is close to Aruba. We had a very relaxing and amazing time in the warm weather and on the beautiful beaches. Came home to that drizzly chill and are back to waiting for sunshine. I often wonder if you travel for fun and if so, what places you have discovered and if you have any favorites. Holiday Spirit

  Dear Zach, hoping you got the Christmas and birthday cards I sent to you. Cannot believe you are 30 years old now. I can’t really say time has flown given  that not being able to see you has left a huge void in our lives. The holiday season is always bittersweet in that our family always finds ways to celebrate and love one another, but there  are always thoughts of missing  you intertwined.  Jeff and I flew Cody down for the Benicia annual Christmas tree lighting and to see Nana and granddad. It was a short but very special weekend. I have included the video where Cody surprised your grandparents with his visit. It made them both so happy. It was Jeff’s family’s turn for Christmas so we flew up to Washington to be with his nephew, Maxon and the rest of the family. When I’m Sixty-Four.

Hi Zach, well, now I am officially the age of a Beatles song. It’s hard to believe I’m that old and have yet to reunite with you. It’s been almost 15 years.  I think of you every day of my life and pray that you are happy and loved.  Of course, October means Halloween, one of my favorite holidays. We met up with friends to celebrate and I dressed as Beth from the television show Yellowstone. Perhaps you’ve heard of it. Earlier in the month your aunt Christine and I went to a meet and greet for the actor Sam Heughan from outlander. It’s a show. We are both obsessed with that takes place in 18th century Scotland around the clan Fraser. Up until a few years ago, I had no idea that Jeff’s family are Fraser’s and Fraser is his younger brother‘s and father’s middle name. My head exploded lol.
