For Zachary James Pratt

Hey Zach, hope you had a fabulous Christmas, Birthday and New Year and that you received my cards. Guess you are probably back into school by now. I have been reading about the weather down there and it's gotten pretty cold. It's been below freezing here every night for the past couple of weeks. I for one am looking forward to warmer weather. Well as I mentioned, we picked up Cody's car on Christmas eve. It's very practical but sporty looking and gets really great mileage, 38mpg!!! I have attached a couple of pictures so you can see what it looks like. It's a bit dirty right now as Cody, Mitch and Robbie took it to Tahoe for the day to go snow boarding at Sierra at Tahoe. Not much else going on right now except for the planning of Jeff's 40th birthday. We are all off to Uncle Gregg's to watch the Superbowl at the beginning of next month. Can't believe that Seattle is actually in the running though it's a long shot at best. Still it would be cool if ...

Hey Zach, not sure I should be 'blogging' right now but it's the beginning of the 4th year without you in my life and it's very hard to live with that reality. I am sad a lot and wish that you could find it in your heart to get in touch. I miss you so much and think about you every minute. Some people say our separation is like a death and that I am grieving. I just keep hoping that one day it will get easier to live without you but instead it just gets harder. Every touching movie I watch, card I read or child I see reminds me that you are not here and how much we are missing out on being a family. Sorry this latest entry couldn't have been a bit more cheery but I just didn't have it in me this time. I hope you are well and safe and happy sweetheart. All my love.... Mom
