Cody's New Car

Hey Zach, hope you had a fabulous Christmas, Birthday and New Year and that you received my cards. Guess you are probably back into school by now. I have been reading about the weather down there and it's gotten pretty cold. It's been below freezing here every night for the past couple of weeks. I for one am looking forward to warmer weather.

Well as I mentioned, we picked up Cody's car on Christmas eve. It's very practical but sporty looking and gets really great mileage, 38mpg!!! I have attached a couple of pictures so you can see what it looks like. It's a bit dirty right now as Cody, Mitch and Robbie took it to Tahoe for the day to go snow boarding at Sierra at Tahoe.
Not much else going on right now except for the planning of Jeff's 40th birthday. We are all off to Uncle Gregg's to watch the Superbowl at the beginning of next month. Can't believe that Seattle is actually in the running though it's a long shot at best. Still it would be cool if your brother's homestate team had another shot at the championship.

We just celebrated Aunt Christine's 50th...yep we are all getting up there now. I will post some pictures of her family dinner next time I write. Anyway, better get back to work. Still hoping you find it in your heart to get in touch. I love you and miss you with all my heart sweetheart.

Hi Zach, we are waiting for spring to come here in Benicia as most days have been  rainy and chilly. Your mom has always loved beach weather and can’t wait for summer lol. Hope that wherever you are, you are enjoying the outdoors. Aside from celebrating Jeff’s 54th birthday, February was fairly quiet around here. I have been working a lot of shifts at the winery which is still the best job ever and Jeff and I have been preparing for the first vacation. we have had alone together in two years. We flew down to Curaçao, which is part of the Netherland Antilles and is close to Aruba. We had a very relaxing and amazing time in the warm weather and on the beautiful beaches. Came home to that drizzly chill and are back to waiting for sunshine. I often wonder if you travel for fun and if so, what places you have discovered and if you have any favorites. Holiday Spirit

  Dear Zach, hoping you got the Christmas and birthday cards I sent to you. Cannot believe you are 30 years old now. I can’t really say time has flown given  that not being able to see you has left a huge void in our lives. The holiday season is always bittersweet in that our family always finds ways to celebrate and love one another, but there  are always thoughts of missing  you intertwined.  Jeff and I flew Cody down for the Benicia annual Christmas tree lighting and to see Nana and granddad. It was a short but very special weekend. I have included the video where Cody surprised your grandparents with his visit. It made them both so happy. It was Jeff’s family’s turn for Christmas so we flew up to Washington to be with his nephew, Maxon and the rest of the family. When I’m Sixty-Four.

Hi Zach, well, now I am officially the age of a Beatles song. It’s hard to believe I’m that old and have yet to reunite with you. It’s been almost 15 years.  I think of you every day of my life and pray that you are happy and loved.  Of course, October means Halloween, one of my favorite holidays. We met up with friends to celebrate and I dressed as Beth from the television show Yellowstone. Perhaps you’ve heard of it. Earlier in the month your aunt Christine and I went to a meet and greet for the actor Sam Heughan from outlander. It’s a show. We are both obsessed with that takes place in 18th century Scotland around the clan Fraser. Up until a few years ago, I had no idea that Jeff’s family are Fraser’s and Fraser is his younger brother‘s and father’s middle name. My head exploded lol.
