Happy Valentine's Day Zach!!!

Hey you, bet you are probably off school today for the President's day holiday. I am here at work and Cody is at school. I have had a really bad cold this past two weeks, first in over 2 years and it hit pretty hard. Not used to being sick like that and even had to miss your Uncle's Superbowl Party and seeing Nana and Granddad. We have had a nice couple of weeks of really warm weather that I missed out on as well. : ( Getting better now though and I am back at work.

Not much going on out here. Just getting ready for a couple of trips out of state. Heather is getting married in April and lives in Arizona so we have been invited and will try to go for the weekend to attend the wedding. Plus work is sending me to a conference in Colorado a little after that. The kitties are doing well, though I have had to put Stitch on a diet. At 13.5 pounds, he weighs twice as much as Rudy and the vet said he should lose some so I am trying to cut him back a bit. He really is a big butterball and I like him big, but I guess it's not healthy for cats to weigh that much so......

Wish I had more news for you but all is pretty routine right now. Nana and Granddad are getting into Karaoke a bit and Cody still has his job which is great. Hope all is going really well with school and your other interests. Please try to write if you get a chance, plus you can always call. Your dad has my number. I love and miss you as always,

Waiting for Spring

Hi Zach, we are waiting for spring to come here in Benicia as most days have been  rainy and chilly. Your mom has always loved beach weather and can’t wait for summer lol. Hope that wherever you are, you are enjoying the outdoors. Aside from celebrating Jeff’s 54th birthday, February was fairly quiet around here. I have been working a lot of shifts at the winery which is still the best job ever and Jeff and I have been preparing for the first vacation. we have had alone together in two years. We flew down to Curaçao, which is part of the Netherland Antilles and is close to Aruba. We had a very relaxing and amazing time in the warm weather and on the beautiful beaches. Came home to that drizzly chill and are back to waiting for sunshine. I often wonder if you travel for fun and if so, what places you have discovered and if you have any favorites. Holiday Spirit

  Dear Zach, hoping you got the Christmas and birthday cards I sent to you. Cannot believe you are 30 years old now. I can’t really say time has flown given  that not being able to see you has left a huge void in our lives. The holiday season is always bittersweet in that our family always finds ways to celebrate and love one another, but there  are always thoughts of missing  you intertwined.  Jeff and I flew Cody down for the Benicia annual Christmas tree lighting and to see Nana and granddad. It was a short but very special weekend. I have included the video where Cody surprised your grandparents with his visit. It made them both so happy. It was Jeff’s family’s turn for Christmas so we flew up to Washington to be with his nephew, Maxon and the rest of the family. When I’m Sixty-Four.

Hi Zach, well, now I am officially the age of a Beatles song. It’s hard to believe I’m that old and have yet to reunite with you. It’s been almost 15 years.  I think of you every day of my life and pray that you are happy and loved.  Of course, October means Halloween, one of my favorite holidays. We met up with friends to celebrate and I dressed as Beth from the television show Yellowstone. Perhaps you’ve heard of it. Earlier in the month your aunt Christine and I went to a meet and greet for the actor Sam Heughan from outlander. It’s a show. We are both obsessed with that takes place in 18th century Scotland around the clan Fraser. Up until a few years ago, I had no idea that Jeff’s family are Fraser’s and Fraser is his younger brother‘s and father’s middle name. My head exploded lol.
