Family
Hey Zach, I am sure you are just as up on the happenings in Japan as we are here in California. All the devastation and loss really makes you stop and take stock of your life and family and treasure the relationships you have that much more dearly. I wish that I could have you back in my life as I worry so much about each day that goes by being lost to us forever. Please, please can you find it in your heart to reach out and say hello?
Uncle Gregg is in Hawaii at the moment to make sure their condo didn't sustain any tsunami damage. There was damage to some hotels further south on the same coast of the Big Island, but where they are was not really affected. Lucky I guess but those in Japan, not so much. There will be grief and sadness for months and years to come. I know everyone is sending their prayers as well as whatever they can afford over there to help. I wonder if you and your school are involved in any fundraising activities to help out?? I participated in a small one last weekend for a women's group that builds water wells in Mali so the women there don't have to walk five hours or more to fetch tainted water. Maybe if I retire, I will get more involved in those things the way Nana has. She still works at the Asssistance League store and helps out with school programs in her area too. They are doing well, so is Cody. His friend Andrew is home from college on Easter break and is staying with us for a few nights. It's fun having all these young adults around. Their outlook on life is so unique, yes that's how I would describe it.
Anyway, sorry there wasn't really more to this entry but it's hard to reel off things that are happening here when there is so much happening elsewhere in the world. I hope you are doing really well in school and enjoying your life and your friends. I watch Glee every Tuesday night and think of you and the similarities that are in your pursuits. Wish I could share in that, but for now I will leave my thoughts here and pray that one day you pick them up. I love you more than words could ever say Zach.
