Summer is almost here...

Hey Zach, it's almost summer but I wish the weather would act like it. It's been cold and rainy here and we are hearing about these awful tornadoes hitting all over the country. Scary. I miss Hawaii and the good weather we had there. Hope all is going well and that you are not stressing over school as you near the end of the year. I hope being a sophomore has been a fabulous experience and that you were able to to join all of the activities and groups that you love so much. I am a big Glee fan and I can't help but think of you and your talents when I watch that show. I will be watching all the reruns over the summer. We are headed over to your Uncle Gregg and Auntie Kim's for a BBQ tonight. Your cousin Hannah and her friend Rachael are here from England and have been staying there whilst touring around. We managed to have dinner with them last week and heard about their unexpectedly snowy trip to Yosemite. You wouldn't think to see snow there in May but they did a...

The Big Island

Hi Zach, hope all is going well with school. It must be winding down by now and you are probably getting ready to spend your first summer in your new home. Hope you have made lots of new friends back there. I know there are lots of folks out here that miss you dearly. I am sure you are very popular with everyone given your outgoing nature. Your Uncle Gregg & Auntie Kim treated me, your Auntie Teen, Michael Bare's mom, Lisa and two other friends to a week at his home on the Big Island. The weather was awesome and it was nice to get away and spend a whole week just relaxing and reading on the beach and swimming in the ocean. We grilled a lot of fish on the BBQ and had some great picnics on the beach. We watched quite a few sunsets, but not as many as normal since the volcano has been erupting and making things a bit hazy. It didn't stop the warmth and sunshine during the day so we did a lot of sightseeing as well. Saw lots of turtles and even swam with one. It reminded me so...
