4th Of July

Hi Zach, well by now you have probably been to a few BBQs and seen at least 1 fireworks display. Hope you had an awesome holiday. Cody took a long shift at work in order to get time and a half. He worked that day from 2 to 11 so he couldn't join us in Sausalito for the waterfront fireworks. :(  Everyone else from the family was there as we celebrated Granddad's 77th birthday as well. We had a wonderful picnic during the major heat of the day....it was really hot, then we listened to a Journey cover band, called 'Arrival' that had come all the way from Ohio to play. They of course sang 'Don't Stop Believing' which is now more associated with Glee than anything. They were very good and our voices were horse from singing along. I have included two pictures this time. One is of Miles, the pug that is owned by Cori and Steve who came as well. I work with Cori and you met her when you came in to help her put marketing bags together that one time, do you remember? The other picture is of course Nana in some goofy patriotic sunglasses. You know nana, she always has the latest holiday accessories. Everyone had a wonderful time, but it was back to work the next day. Not for you though, as I am sure you are enjoying your summer back in Texas, or maybe you're in Maui?

I am off work tomorrow and Friday. Jeff is taking me to get Lasik in one eye. No more contacts and my work gave me a really good deal. I am hoping it will all work out well, but I am nervous. I'm not a fan of medical procedures so we shall see. Anyway, not too much more going on out here. As always, I would really love to hear from you. Remember how much I love and miss you each and every day Zach. Be safe and take care,

Love,
Mom
