Hi Zach, I promised my next note to you would be cheerful and I meant every word. Just have to get my feelings out about this whole situation on occasion as it is so unbelieveable that I would have one son who loves me and wants to live with me and another who refuses all contact. Ooops, getting carried away again....

Well by now you must have started back to school. I can't believe you are a junior this year. The time has gone way too fast. I remember when you were sitting for circle time in 1st and 2nd grade. You were always so social and I think it was your favorite time during the school day. Guess your interest in drama, singing and dancing has grown from that. I was wondering if you have had a chance to see Glee the Musical or the Tour that is going across the country right now. I haven't had a chance yet but I intend to see them. Can't wait for this next season to start as well. The kids remind me so much of you and the joy I know you get from being a part of productions and performances. You are a natural that is for sure! Wish I could see you perform in the near future. I would fly out to Texas in a heartbeat for a chance to see you in anything. Who am I kidding, I would drop everything just to see you, period. Please drop me a note and let me know how everything is going. We all love and miss you so much and would love to know how your life is progressing. I think of you every day and miss you so much.

Waiting for Spring

Hi Zach, we are waiting for spring to come here in Benicia as most days have been  rainy and chilly. Your mom has always loved beach weather and can’t wait for summer lol. Hope that wherever you are, you are enjoying the outdoors. Aside from celebrating Jeff’s 54th birthday, February was fairly quiet around here. I have been working a lot of shifts at the winery which is still the best job ever and Jeff and I have been preparing for the first vacation. we have had alone together in two years. We flew down to Curaçao, which is part of the Netherland Antilles and is close to Aruba. We had a very relaxing and amazing time in the warm weather and on the beautiful beaches. Came home to that drizzly chill and are back to waiting for sunshine. I often wonder if you travel for fun and if so, what places you have discovered and if you have any favorites. We have a couple more trips coming up this year, one to visit your uncle Gregg and auntie Kim now that they live in Portugal. Al...

Holiday Spirit

  Dear Zach, hoping you got the Christmas and birthday cards I sent to you. Cannot believe you are 30 years old now. I can’t really say time has flown given  that not being able to see you has left a huge void in our lives. The holiday season is always bittersweet in that our family always finds ways to celebrate and love one another, but there  are always thoughts of missing  you intertwined.  Jeff and I flew Cody down for the Benicia annual Christmas tree lighting and to see Nana and granddad. It was a short but very special weekend. I have included the video where Cody surprised your grandparents with his visit. It made them both so happy. It was Jeff’s family’s turn for Christmas so we flew up to Washington to be with his nephew, Maxon and the rest of the family. When I’m Sixty-Four.

Hi Zach, well, now I am officially the age of a Beatles song. It’s hard to believe I’m that old and have yet to reunite with you. It’s been almost 15 years.  I think of you every day of my life and pray that you are happy and loved.  Of course, October means Halloween, one of my favorite holidays. We met up with friends to celebrate and I dressed as Beth from the television show Yellowstone. Perhaps you’ve heard of it. Earlier in the month your aunt Christine and I went to a meet and greet for the actor Sam Heughan from outlander. It’s a show. We are both obsessed with that takes place in 18th century Scotland around the clan Fraser. Up until a few years ago, I had no idea that Jeff’s family are Fraser’s and Fraser is his younger brother‘s and father’s middle name. My head exploded lol.
