Italy

Hi Zach, I didn't want to mention this trip until I got back because I didn't believe this dream would come true. Jeff took me to Italy over the past few weeks and we visited some beautiful places in that country. We stayed in Rome for 3 days, Florence for 3 days (very beautiful and romantic), on the coast in Vernazza one of the 5 hill towns of Cinque Terre and then spent a week in Cortona, a hill town in Tuscany where they filmed 'Under the Tuscan Sun.' It was an amazing trip and I thought about you so many times, especially when we went to the art museums where Rafael and Michelangelo's work was displayed. The architecture is incredible and I was in awe at how well preserved some of the buildings and walls are. We saw places that were built 3000 years ago.......and I thought England was old!!! The Coliseum and the Vatican in Rome had so much history and there were even cats that live there. The city neuters them and lets them live all around the ruins and all the...

Fall

Hi Zach, well the weather has really turned here in California. The sun has gone and in came cooler weather and drizzles. I don't mind fall except that it's a precursor to winter and I definitely don't like winter. Well maybe the homemade soup, wood burning fires and sweater part, but that's all. Not much going on around here other than work and seeing friends. Everyone is doing alright here though your Auntie Nora in England could be better. Nana may fly Uncle Barrie out here next summer as he has been the only one taking care of your aunt and it is getting very stressful. This would mean we can postpone a trip to England for at least a year and maybe try to stay at Uncle Gregg's place in Hawaii with Cody and friends. Wish you could come too. I know you would love everything about it and the island. It's so different than all the other islands, so raw and under developed. Someday, if we ever reconnect, I would like to take a trip with you so we could kayak with...
