Hi Zach, well we've had lots of warm weather this past couple of weeks and not much rain. I love the warmth and sunshine but we could really use some rain too. It does make for nice days outside. Jeff and I picnicked at the park with Juliette yesterday. She is walking now and such a little character. I would love for you to meet her. Cody mentioned that Peter was coming out here this summer. I hope that you can make the visit as well. You know I would drop everything to see you and have a chance to hear all about how your life in Texas is going. For now, I will just have to stick to giving you updates from this side and hoping that one day you will click on this site and get in touch.

Things are going well out here. Nana and Granddad will be coming over in a couple of weeks to help me work on the house a bit. Need to sand down all the trim, do some painting and install new carpeting. Cody has been going to all of his classes and working hard. The only time I see him now is when he comes home to sleep or stick his head in a book. I am very proud of the committment he is showing in his life, you would be too. It would be great if you could at least reach out to him as once Nana, Granddad and I am gone, he will be your only family out here. I know he would love to hear from you. Please find it in your heart to accept us back into your life Zach. Time is fleeting and you never know what could happen. Regret is something you never want to possess. Until then, I will think of you every minute of every day.

Waiting for Spring

Hi Zach, we are waiting for spring to come here in Benicia as most days have been  rainy and chilly. Your mom has always loved beach weather and can’t wait for summer lol. Hope that wherever you are, you are enjoying the outdoors. Aside from celebrating Jeff’s 54th birthday, February was fairly quiet around here. I have been working a lot of shifts at the winery which is still the best job ever and Jeff and I have been preparing for the first vacation. we have had alone together in two years. We flew down to Curaçao, which is part of the Netherland Antilles and is close to Aruba. We had a very relaxing and amazing time in the warm weather and on the beautiful beaches. Came home to that drizzly chill and are back to waiting for sunshine. I often wonder if you travel for fun and if so, what places you have discovered and if you have any favorites. Holiday Spirit

  Dear Zach, hoping you got the Christmas and birthday cards I sent to you. Cannot believe you are 30 years old now. I can’t really say time has flown given  that not being able to see you has left a huge void in our lives. The holiday season is always bittersweet in that our family always finds ways to celebrate and love one another, but there  are always thoughts of missing  you intertwined.  Jeff and I flew Cody down for the Benicia annual Christmas tree lighting and to see Nana and granddad. It was a short but very special weekend. I have included the video where Cody surprised your grandparents with his visit. It made them both so happy. It was Jeff’s family’s turn for Christmas so we flew up to Washington to be with his nephew, Maxon and the rest of the family. When I’m Sixty-Four.

Hi Zach, well, now I am officially the age of a Beatles song. It’s hard to believe I’m that old and have yet to reunite with you. It’s been almost 15 years.  I think of you every day of my life and pray that you are happy and loved.  Of course, October means Halloween, one of my favorite holidays. We met up with friends to celebrate and I dressed as Beth from the television show Yellowstone. Perhaps you’ve heard of it. Earlier in the month your aunt Christine and I went to a meet and greet for the actor Sam Heughan from outlander. It’s a show. We are both obsessed with that takes place in 18th century Scotland around the clan Fraser. Up until a few years ago, I had no idea that Jeff’s family are Fraser’s and Fraser is his younger brother‘s and father’s middle name. My head exploded lol.
