Happy New Year!!!!

Hi Zach, well it's a brand new year, the year of the Dragon. Not sure what that means so I better look it up. First some updates....Had a wonderful Christmas with the whole family up at Nana's. Granddad made a nice salmon dinner with asparagus and of course there were Christmas crackers and silly paper hats. New Year was pretty quiet. We all went over to Tamela's to spend it with Alex and Tavi and Tamela's new son Ashton. He is really precious. They are doing very well and live just around the corner from us now in a huge house. She is getting married in June. Cody starts school in a couple of weeks and has been doing amazingly well at his job. My work is fine too, still plugging away. We need some rain out here but other than that things are fine and so are the kitties.

I attached some pictures of our trip up to Washington to spend Christmas with Jeff's family. We actually got snow on Christmas day which was pretty awesome. I hope you had a wonderful holiday. I heard through Cody that Grandpa Ed and Grandma Nancy spent it with you. I'll bet you had fun showing them around your area of Texas. Now it's back to school, but I am sure you have lots of activities to occupy your time as well. As always, I think of you all the time and hope you got my Christmas and birthday cards. Waiting for Spring

Hi Zach, we are waiting for spring to come here in Benicia as most days have been  rainy and chilly. Your mom has always loved beach weather and can’t wait for summer lol. Hope that wherever you are, you are enjoying the outdoors. Aside from celebrating Jeff’s 54th birthday, February was fairly quiet around here. I have been working a lot of shifts at the winery which is still the best job ever and Jeff and I have been preparing for the first vacation. we have had alone together in two years. We flew down to Curaçao, which is part of the Netherland Antilles and is close to Aruba. We had a very relaxing and amazing time in the warm weather and on the beautiful beaches. Came home to that drizzly chill and are back to waiting for sunshine. I often wonder if you travel for fun and if so, what places you have discovered and if you have any favorites. We have a couple more trips coming up this year, one to visit your uncle Gregg and auntie Kim now that they live in Portugal. Al...

Holiday Spirit

  Dear Zach, hoping you got the Christmas and birthday cards I sent to you. Cannot believe you are 30 years old now. I can’t really say time has flown given  that not being able to see you has left a huge void in our lives. The holiday season is always bittersweet in that our family always finds ways to celebrate and love one another, but there  are always thoughts of missing  you intertwined.  Jeff and I flew Cody down for the Benicia annual Christmas tree lighting and to see Nana and granddad. It was a short but very special weekend. I have included the video where Cody surprised your grandparents with his visit. It made them both so happy. It was Jeff’s family’s turn for Christmas so we flew up to Washington to be with his nephew, Maxon and the rest of the family. When I’m Sixty-Four.

Hi Zach, well, now I am officially the age of a Beatles song. It’s hard to believe I’m that old and have yet to reunite with you. It’s been almost 15 years.  I think of you every day of my life and pray that you are happy and loved.  Of course, October means Halloween, one of my favorite holidays. We met up with friends to celebrate and I dressed as Beth from the television show Yellowstone. Perhaps you’ve heard of it. Earlier in the month your aunt Christine and I went to a meet and greet for the actor Sam Heughan from outlander. It’s a show. We are both obsessed with that takes place in 18th century Scotland around the clan Fraser. Up until a few years ago, I had no idea that Jeff’s family are Fraser’s and Fraser is his younger brother‘s and father’s middle name. My head exploded lol.
