Nana & Granddad

Hi Zach, thought I would write a little about your grandparents today. There is a hole in their lives that they are acutely aware of every day. Every time we talk, Nana asks me if I have any news and sadly each time I have to tell her no. Most nights they wake up long before sunrise and have a hard time going back to sleep because they miss you so much and don't understand why you have shut them out. Nana even tried to friend you on FaceBook but was turned down. They don't deserve to be treated this way Zach as they have done nothing but love you since the day you were born. Their hearts are broken as they long for nothing more than to have you in their lives again. We never know what the future brings as it could all be gone tomorrow and how would you feel if they left this life and you never had a chance to tell them what great grandparents they were to you and how much you loved them? I think about it all the time and it scares me that you may not have the chance if you continue down this path of hatred. There are so many good memories to look back on in photos of the many outings, holidays and vacations we shared together. Surely some of that strikes a positive note in your heart Zachary. Please don't let anymore time go by before it's too late. We all love and miss you very much and would welcome you into our lives without hesitation. Until then, we will continue to wait and hope and not give up on you. All my love,

Waiting for Spring

Hi Zach, we are waiting for spring to come here in Benicia as most days have been  rainy and chilly. Your mom has always loved beach weather and can’t wait for summer lol. Hope that wherever you are, you are enjoying the outdoors. Aside from celebrating Jeff’s 54th birthday, February was fairly quiet around here. I have been working a lot of shifts at the winery which is still the best job ever and Jeff and I have been preparing for the first vacation. we have had alone together in two years. We flew down to Curaçao, which is part of the Netherland Antilles and is close to Aruba. We had a very relaxing and amazing time in the warm weather and on the beautiful beaches. Came home to that drizzly chill and are back to waiting for sunshine. I often wonder if you travel for fun and if so, what places you have discovered and if you have any favorites. Holiday Spirit

  Dear Zach, hoping you got the Christmas and birthday cards I sent to you. Cannot believe you are 30 years old now. I can’t really say time has flown given  that not being able to see you has left a huge void in our lives. The holiday season is always bittersweet in that our family always finds ways to celebrate and love one another, but there  are always thoughts of missing  you intertwined.  Jeff and I flew Cody down for the Benicia annual Christmas tree lighting and to see Nana and granddad. It was a short but very special weekend. I have included the video where Cody surprised your grandparents with his visit. It made them both so happy. It was Jeff’s family’s turn for Christmas so we flew up to Washington to be with his nephew, Maxon and the rest of the family. When I’m Sixty-Four.

Hi Zach, well, now I am officially the age of a Beatles song. It’s hard to believe I’m that old and have yet to reunite with you. It’s been almost 15 years.  I think of you every day of my life and pray that you are happy and loved.  Of course, October means Halloween, one of my favorite holidays. We met up with friends to celebrate and I dressed as Beth from the television show Yellowstone. Perhaps you’ve heard of it. Earlier in the month your aunt Christine and I went to a meet and greet for the actor Sam Heughan from outlander. It’s a show. We are both obsessed with that takes place in 18th century Scotland around the clan Fraser. Up until a few years ago, I had no idea that Jeff’s family are Fraser’s and Fraser is his younger brother‘s and father’s middle name. My head exploded lol.
