Nana and Granddad

Image
Hi Zach, I was ordering some photos online to put in frames in our new place and thought you might like to see this recent one of Nana and Granddad. They miss you so much Zach. Nana tells me she wakes up crying in the middle of the night with an ache in her heart. They don't understand why you won't communicate with them and they are so hurt by not being in contact with you. I wish somehow you could find your way back to all of us. The pain is too much to bear sometimes. Still I keep hoping that one day you will want to know your family again. I hope you are well Zach and that you feel loved as that is very important in life. Take care, I will write again soon. Love always, Mom XOX

Washing

Hi Zach, this was sent to me today, so I thought I would pass it on. It, like everything else in this world, made me think of you for the billionth time today: She must have been 6 years old, this beautiful red haired, freckle faced image of innocence. It was pouring outside. The kind of rain that gushes over the top of rain gutters, so much in a hurry to hit the earth it has no time to flow down the spout.. We all stood there, under the awning, just outside the door of the grocery store. We waited, some patiently, others irritated because nature messed up their hurried day. I am mesmerized by rainfall. I got lost in the sound and sight of the heavens washing away the dirt and dust of the world. Memories of running, splashing so carefree as a child came pouring in as a welcome reprieve from the stress of the day. Her little voice was so sweet as it broke the hypnotic trance we were all caught in, 'Mom let's run through the rain,'she said. What?' Mom asked. 'Let...

GLEE

Hi Zach, thought about you even more than I normally do last night while watching the season premier of Glee. Couldn't believe I already had most of the songs they covered on my iPhone. I really do love the show as it reminds me so much of you and all the activities I think you might be involved in. Jeff and I just got back from New Orleans. It was extremely humid but the people and the food were amazing. The LSU football fans were so generous on game day, inviting us to their tents for homemade gumbo and jambalaya. Best I have ever tasted too! We went on a vampire and ghost tour in the French Quarter and heard some fascinating stories related to the history there. I had know idea of the number of unexplained events that had occurred in the area. Creepy and scary. We visited cemeteries as well, where they bury people in tombs above ground because the sea level would flood the graves otherwise. Very different from California. We were glad to be home though as we had missed the kit...
