Hi Zach, well I am back from a work conference in San Diego. Had a chance to go and see the Hotel Del Coronado there and it is supposed to be haunted. It is a very old hotel and quite beautiful inside and out. It is right on the beach too which adds to the beauty. I have been thinking quite a bit about you and your brother's relationship lately and how I wish you guys were in touch with each other. You are brothers after all and may only have each other later on down the road. I know Cody would like to reach out, but I don't think he has any of your contact info. Maybe you can get his phone number from your dad and give him a call. I was even thinking it would be nice if you could invite him out for Thanksgiving this year and try to mend some fences. Nana and Granddad will be in England and Auntie Kim and Uncle Gregg always celebrate that holiday with friends so it will be kind of a quiet one in California. I think it would be a step in the right direction for you both. Please think about it.

One last thing...I know I made many mistakes as your mother, but we also shared some wonderful times as mother and son. No matter what, I have always loved you Zachary and will forever and ever. I miss you and hope you can see this and maybe get in touch with me too.

Waiting for Spring

Hi Zach, we are waiting for spring to come here in Benicia as most days have been  rainy and chilly. Your mom has always loved beach weather and can’t wait for summer lol. Hope that wherever you are, you are enjoying the outdoors. Aside from celebrating Jeff’s 54th birthday, February was fairly quiet around here. I have been working a lot of shifts at the winery which is still the best job ever and Jeff and I have been preparing for the first vacation. we have had alone together in two years. We flew down to Curaçao, which is part of the Netherland Antilles and is close to Aruba. We had a very relaxing and amazing time in the warm weather and on the beautiful beaches. Came home to that drizzly chill and are back to waiting for sunshine. I often wonder if you travel for fun and if so, what places you have discovered and if you have any favorites. We have a couple more trips coming up this year, one to visit your uncle Gregg and auntie Kim now that they live in Portugal. Al...

Holiday Spirit

  Dear Zach, hoping you got the Christmas and birthday cards I sent to you. Cannot believe you are 30 years old now. I can’t really say time has flown given  that not being able to see you has left a huge void in our lives. The holiday season is always bittersweet in that our family always finds ways to celebrate and love one another, but there  are always thoughts of missing  you intertwined.  Jeff and I flew Cody down for the Benicia annual Christmas tree lighting and to see Nana and granddad. It was a short but very special weekend. I have included the video where Cody surprised your grandparents with his visit. It made them both so happy. It was Jeff’s family’s turn for Christmas so we flew up to Washington to be with his nephew, Maxon and the rest of the family. When I’m Sixty-Four.

Hi Zach, well, now I am officially the age of a Beatles song. It’s hard to believe I’m that old and have yet to reunite with you. It’s been almost 15 years.  I think of you every day of my life and pray that you are happy and loved.  Of course, October means Halloween, one of my favorite holidays. We met up with friends to celebrate and I dressed as Beth from the television show Yellowstone. Perhaps you’ve heard of it. Earlier in the month your aunt Christine and I went to a meet and greet for the actor Sam Heughan from outlander. It’s a show. We are both obsessed with that takes place in 18th century Scotland around the clan Fraser. Up until a few years ago, I had no idea that Jeff’s family are Fraser’s and Fraser is his younger brother‘s and father’s middle name. My head exploded lol.
