Late Season Sun

Hi Zach, it's hard to imagine all the terrible weather that has been plaguing the east coast when here in California we have had warm sunny weather until just yesterday. It's crazy but I'll take it. Only drawback is the sun is very low in the sky so all day it feels like it's around 5 in the afternoon. Folks in the northeast could use some of this. I know several people who have been affected in NY and near the Jersey Shore, it's terrible.

Not much going on out here in the west. Nana and Granddad are still in England and celebrated Uncle Barrie's 70th birthday this past weekend. Hannah, Simon and Mark had all come in for Auntie Nora's funeral so they were able to wish him well on this milestone. That makes Nana 77 on her next birthday. Time has really flown by, going on 6 years now since we were together.

What will you be doing for Thanksgiving? Cody has decided he might go to his girlfriend's family's house and Jeff and I will go to Uncle Gregg's. He took Cody to lunch this past week and they had a great time. The kitties are all doing well and we bought them a new tower to play on so they can climb onto the living room shelving. Rudy spends all his time up there. I know he loves being up high.

 Well better get back to work Zach. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and that senior year is treating you well. Wish we could spend a holiday together soon. I miss you more than anything you know.

Hi Zach, we are waiting for spring to come here in Benicia as most days have been  rainy and chilly. Your mom has always loved beach weather and can’t wait for summer lol. Hope that wherever you are, you are enjoying the outdoors. Aside from celebrating Jeff’s 54th birthday, February was fairly quiet around here. I have been working a lot of shifts at the winery which is still the best job ever and Jeff and I have been preparing for the first vacation. we have had alone together in two years. We flew down to Curaçao, which is part of the Netherland Antilles and is close to Aruba. We had a very relaxing and amazing time in the warm weather and on the beautiful beaches. Came home to that drizzly chill and are back to waiting for sunshine. I often wonder if you travel for fun and if so, what places you have discovered and if you have any favorites. Holiday Spirit

  Dear Zach, hoping you got the Christmas and birthday cards I sent to you. Cannot believe you are 30 years old now. I can’t really say time has flown given  that not being able to see you has left a huge void in our lives. The holiday season is always bittersweet in that our family always finds ways to celebrate and love one another, but there  are always thoughts of missing  you intertwined.  Jeff and I flew Cody down for the Benicia annual Christmas tree lighting and to see Nana and granddad. It was a short but very special weekend. I have included the video where Cody surprised your grandparents with his visit. It made them both so happy. It was Jeff’s family’s turn for Christmas so we flew up to Washington to be with his nephew, Maxon and the rest of the family. When I’m Sixty-Four.

Hi Zach, well, now I am officially the age of a Beatles song. It’s hard to believe I’m that old and have yet to reunite with you. It’s been almost 15 years.  I think of you every day of my life and pray that you are happy and loved.  Of course, October means Halloween, one of my favorite holidays. We met up with friends to celebrate and I dressed as Beth from the television show Yellowstone. Perhaps you’ve heard of it. Earlier in the month your aunt Christine and I went to a meet and greet for the actor Sam Heughan from outlander. It’s a show. We are both obsessed with that takes place in 18th century Scotland around the clan Fraser. Up until a few years ago, I had no idea that Jeff’s family are Fraser’s and Fraser is his younger brother‘s and father’s middle name. My head exploded lol.
