Just Catching Up....

Hi Zach, I am sure you are aware that the San Francisco 49ers are going to the Superbowl. We will be celebrating the game that day and really hope they win.Other than that, not much going on out here right now except everyone is working hard and nobody has the flu which is good. Your brother is struggling a bit financially. It is really hard to be independent in California where everything is so expensive, but he loves living near his friends as well as me, Nana and Granddad so I don't think living anywhere else is an option right now. He really does his best to make ends meet while all the time taking care of his girlfriend. There are challenges, but he meets them head on with a positive attitude and he is happy which is most important. I hope that you are happy Zachary. I am curious about your plans for after graduation. I had wanted to send you and Cody to England for the summer, but that is not to be I guess. Perhaps one day I will get the chance. I would still love to do something for your graduation so if you have any ideas I am listening :) 

Anyway, just wanted to send a quick note to say hello. I hope that you are enjoying these last few months of your senior year and that you are safe and well. I miss you so much and would love to be a part of your life again.

Waiting for Spring

Hi Zach, we are waiting for spring to come here in Benicia as most days have been  rainy and chilly. Your mom has always loved beach weather and can’t wait for summer lol. Hope that wherever you are, you are enjoying the outdoors. Aside from celebrating Jeff’s 54th birthday, February was fairly quiet around here. I have been working a lot of shifts at the winery which is still the best job ever and Jeff and I have been preparing for the first vacation. we have had alone together in two years. We flew down to Curaçao, which is part of the Netherland Antilles and is close to Aruba. We had a very relaxing and amazing time in the warm weather and on the beautiful beaches. Came home to that drizzly chill and are back to waiting for sunshine. I often wonder if you travel for fun and if so, what places you have discovered and if you have any favorites. We have a couple more trips coming up this year, one to visit your uncle Gregg and auntie Kim now that they live in Portugal. Al...

Holiday Spirit

  Dear Zach, hoping you got the Christmas and birthday cards I sent to you. Cannot believe you are 30 years old now. I can’t really say time has flown given  that not being able to see you has left a huge void in our lives. The holiday season is always bittersweet in that our family always finds ways to celebrate and love one another, but there  are always thoughts of missing  you intertwined.  Jeff and I flew Cody down for the Benicia annual Christmas tree lighting and to see Nana and granddad. It was a short but very special weekend. I have included the video where Cody surprised your grandparents with his visit. It made them both so happy. It was Jeff’s family’s turn for Christmas so we flew up to Washington to be with his nephew, Maxon and the rest of the family. When I’m Sixty-Four.

Hi Zach, well, now I am officially the age of a Beatles song. It’s hard to believe I’m that old and have yet to reunite with you. It’s been almost 15 years.  I think of you every day of my life and pray that you are happy and loved.  Of course, October means Halloween, one of my favorite holidays. We met up with friends to celebrate and I dressed as Beth from the television show Yellowstone. Perhaps you’ve heard of it. Earlier in the month your aunt Christine and I went to a meet and greet for the actor Sam Heughan from outlander. It’s a show. We are both obsessed with that takes place in 18th century Scotland around the clan Fraser. Up until a few years ago, I had no idea that Jeff’s family are Fraser’s and Fraser is his younger brother‘s and father’s middle name. My head exploded lol.
