One Message

Hey Zach, it just occurred to me that perhaps all my letters to you  have been missing one message and so I thought that maybe I would put it out there. A lot of time has gone by since you moved and we did not part on good terms as you know. Despite all of the difficulties in our last few meetings together and anything you or I might have said to each other in those last moments, I love you more than ever and will never give up on a chance that one day we might be reunited. The message that I hope you can hear when reading this is that I am not angry with you, I hold no grudges, I don't need to talk through our painful past, and even though you might feel all those things towards me, you can reach out anytime and I will be there forever and always Zach as long as I live. Please don't be afraid of what might happen if you reach out because beyond a lot of happy tears and some never ending hugs, you have nothing to fear. I want nothing more than your happiness and a chance to be...

Couple of Quick Updates and a Reminder

Hi Zach, not long now until you graduate. Bet it's getting really exciting for you. Not much going on out here except that Cody is visiting dad for a few days, but I am sure you already knew that. He was very excited to be going and I know it will be great for him to see everyone down there. It's Nana's 77th birthday tomorrow. She was just 70 years old the last time she and Granddad saw you. It was around Christmas I believe. The best present she could possibly get would be a call from you on her special day. She thinks of you as often as I do, which is all the time and longs to have you back in her life. Let me know if you need her number. We (Jeff, me, your Auntie Kim and Uncle Gregg) will all be heading up to Sonoma for the night to cook her dinner and help her celebrate. Then Cody gets back on Sunday. Your dad asked me for your old passport the other week, but it had expired and been tossed long ago. Guess that means you are travelling abroad somewhere this summer. So...

Key West

Image
Hi Zach, wow, I had no idea how beautiful the tropics of the south-eastern part of this country can be. Your Aunt Christine and I have friends from Florida and one lives in Key West and owns a Key Lime Pie and Coconut shop on the island, and we just got back from a short visit. Key West is the last of about 80 little islands that begin at the southern tip of Florida and end about 80 miles from Cuba believe it or not! The entire trip can be made by car on the overseas highway so we flew into Ft. Lauderdale and drove down from there. Our friends put us up in their timeshare at the Marriott Beachside so all 5 of us girls got to spend some quality time together. We are trying to make this a regular thing having gone to Oahu together about 9 years ago and then to your Uncle Gregg's place 2 years ago. It's tough to get everyone's schedules in sync but worth it in the end. We had so many laughs together and saw lots of great sites. The beach photo I attached is at the souther...
