Granddad
Hi Zachary, We all experienced quite a scare earlier this week. Granddad had been looking into a pain he has been having at the back of his head and without letting us in on it had also been to the doctor the day before Thanksgiving for a stomach issue. By Saturday the 30th of November he was admitted to hospital with a serious case of Ulcerative Collitis. Needless to say Nana, Uncle Gregg, me and everyone else was really frightened as we really didn't know what to expect. The doctors had him on major painkillers and antibiotics to look for improvement. Later on the next day they decided he could go home to recuperate but needed to rest for a couple of weeks which meant no golf or table tennis. He has been resting ever since but things are not getting better as quickly as we would all like. When you get older, things affect you more seriously and recovering can take longer and be more dangerous. This was again another time I thought of the distance between us and the heartbreak that Nana and Granddad feel at not having a relationship with their beloved youngest grandson. I wish with all my heart you could read this Zach and know how desperate I am for you to reach out to them before it's too late. Granddad goes to the doctor next week where hopefully we will learn a bit more about what is going on. I will keep you posted here. Please keep us and especially Granddad in your thoughts and prayers and know that we love you and miss you so much. I hope you are getting ready for the holidays and will be able to be with those you love throughout.
Love,
Mom
