Back to School Again

Hi Zach, bet that's where you are by now. A schedule full of classes and new learning opportunities. Once again would love to hear all about it and what wonderful summer experiences you had. BTW just got back from a weekend with the girls down your way. The weather and the coast was beautiful. You must love living in Southern Cal.

 Watching a movie right now about a young woman who turned against her mom and it of course got me thinking of you. The movie is based on a true story and the mom went through an awful lot to regain her relationship with her daughter. Makes me wish we had a chance to try, just to talk. Might not change anything, but it would be better than doing nothing. We started out with so much promise. When you were little you wanted nothing more than to hug me and I you. I remember those hugs, they were magical and special and warm and full of so much love. I still find it so hard to believe you feel none of those things for me because I love and miss you more every single day of my life.

I still hope and pray that you will read all these messages one day and some of them might move you into wanting to learn the truth. Until then I will keep writing to you, I will keep loving you and worrying about you and I will never give up on you.

Waiting for Spring

Hi Zach, we are waiting for spring to come here in Benicia as most days have been  rainy and chilly. Your mom has always loved beach weather and can’t wait for summer lol. Hope that wherever you are, you are enjoying the outdoors. Aside from celebrating Jeff’s 54th birthday, February was fairly quiet around here. I have been working a lot of shifts at the winery which is still the best job ever and Jeff and I have been preparing for the first vacation. we have had alone together in two years. We flew down to Curaçao, which is part of the Netherland Antilles and is close to Aruba. We had a very relaxing and amazing time in the warm weather and on the beautiful beaches. Came home to that drizzly chill and are back to waiting for sunshine. I often wonder if you travel for fun and if so, what places you have discovered and if you have any favorites. Holiday Spirit

  Dear Zach, hoping you got the Christmas and birthday cards I sent to you. Cannot believe you are 30 years old now. I can’t really say time has flown given  that not being able to see you has left a huge void in our lives. The holiday season is always bittersweet in that our family always finds ways to celebrate and love one another, but there  are always thoughts of missing  you intertwined.  Jeff and I flew Cody down for the Benicia annual Christmas tree lighting and to see Nana and granddad. It was a short but very special weekend. I have included the video where Cody surprised your grandparents with his visit. It made them both so happy. It was Jeff’s family’s turn for Christmas so we flew up to Washington to be with his nephew, Maxon and the rest of the family. When I’m Sixty-Four.

Hi Zach, well, now I am officially the age of a Beatles song. It’s hard to believe I’m that old and have yet to reunite with you. It’s been almost 15 years.  I think of you every day of my life and pray that you are happy and loved.  Of course, October means Halloween, one of my favorite holidays. We met up with friends to celebrate and I dressed as Beth from the television show Yellowstone. Perhaps you’ve heard of it. Earlier in the month your aunt Christine and I went to a meet and greet for the actor Sam Heughan from outlander. It’s a show. We are both obsessed with that takes place in 18th century Scotland around the clan Fraser. Up until a few years ago, I had no idea that Jeff’s family are Fraser’s and Fraser is his younger brother‘s and father’s middle name. My head exploded lol.
