Fall

Hi Zach, wow this year has just flown by and it's especially scary that it marks almost 8 years without you in our lives. That's almost a decade and basically half your life! Wish things could be very different and I make that wish every chance I get. Until it comes true, I will keep coming here and doing my best to stay in touch. Nana and Granddad will be over tomorrow. They are coming down to the Bay Area to have lunch with friends and will then have dinner with us and stay over til Monday. Cody is coming over too and I am making Shepard's pie for everyone. A fitting dinner now that the weather is starting to cool a bit and the rain is coming down here and there. Bet you don't see much rain in Southern California though. Must be nice to have so much sunshine all the time. My favorite kind of weather :)

Just a couple of updates...Jeff got a new job in SF with Hearst corp. and Cody is still doing well at Safeway. Uncle Barrie has finished with his cancer treatments and is planning a trip out here next summer. Uncle Gregg and Auntie Kim are trying to get through a horrendous remodel of their kitchen in Sausalito, things have not gone well but they are through the worst of it now. We will be ther to see the u veiling on Thanksgiving and are looking forward to that. Do you have plan? Wondering if you will go to Grandpa Ed's or maybe join some friends from school. Either way I am sure you wil have a wonderful holiday and we of course will be thinking of you as always. Take care my love and be safe.

Waiting for Spring

Hi Zach, we are waiting for spring to come here in Benicia as most days have been  rainy and chilly. Your mom has always loved beach weather and can’t wait for summer lol. Hope that wherever you are, you are enjoying the outdoors. Aside from celebrating Jeff’s 54th birthday, February was fairly quiet around here. I have been working a lot of shifts at the winery which is still the best job ever and Jeff and I have been preparing for the first vacation. we have had alone together in two years. We flew down to Curaçao, which is part of the Netherland Antilles and is close to Aruba. We had a very relaxing and amazing time in the warm weather and on the beautiful beaches. Came home to that drizzly chill and are back to waiting for sunshine. I often wonder if you travel for fun and if so, what places you have discovered and if you have any favorites. We have a couple more trips coming up this year, one to visit your uncle Gregg and auntie Kim now that they live in Portugal. Al...

Holiday Spirit

  Dear Zach, hoping you got the Christmas and birthday cards I sent to you. Cannot believe you are 30 years old now. I can’t really say time has flown given  that not being able to see you has left a huge void in our lives. The holiday season is always bittersweet in that our family always finds ways to celebrate and love one another, but there  are always thoughts of missing  you intertwined.  Jeff and I flew Cody down for the Benicia annual Christmas tree lighting and to see Nana and granddad. It was a short but very special weekend. I have included the video where Cody surprised your grandparents with his visit. It made them both so happy. It was Jeff’s family’s turn for Christmas so we flew up to Washington to be with his nephew, Maxon and the rest of the family. When I’m Sixty-Four.

Hi Zach, well, now I am officially the age of a Beatles song. It’s hard to believe I’m that old and have yet to reunite with you. It’s been almost 15 years.  I think of you every day of my life and pray that you are happy and loved.  Of course, October means Halloween, one of my favorite holidays. We met up with friends to celebrate and I dressed as Beth from the television show Yellowstone. Perhaps you’ve heard of it. Earlier in the month your aunt Christine and I went to a meet and greet for the actor Sam Heughan from outlander. It’s a show. We are both obsessed with that takes place in 18th century Scotland around the clan Fraser. Up until a few years ago, I had no idea that Jeff’s family are Fraser’s and Fraser is his younger brother‘s and father’s middle name. My head exploded lol.
