Cody's Vacation

Hi Zach, I guess Cody was in L.A. visiting his friend Marcus last week. He took the bus down and back so didn't really have access to regular transportation while he was down there but I know he really anted to meet up with and he was sorry it didn't pan out. Hopefully there will be other opportunities as I think it would be wonderful if the two of you could reconnect. I know it would mean a great deal to Cody if you were back in his life and I think it would be very good for you as well. 

Lots going on here work wise. The bank sent me to a very intensive week of training in Redwood City so I stayed with one of Uncle Gregg and Auntie Kim's friends. What an exhausting week, I don't think I have ever been that tired and there is still lots of studying to do in preparation for the 6-hour exam that takes place in a couple of weeks. If I pass I will get an important certification added to my title which will be nice so cross your fingers for me 😋.

Jeff has been working hard at his new job as well and we have both been trying to hit the gym on a regular basIs, even trying the gluten free thing to see if we can improve the diet as well. Gotta be in shape for Desolation Wilderness again this year. We are leaving the next morning after Granddad's 80th birthday. Yes,believe it or not, Granddad will be 80 years old July 1st. He is still golfing and playing table tennis and goes to all the Oakmont dance events with Nana. They still dance on a regular basis and now even Karaoke too, lol! They miss you terrribly.

Well I better get to sleep now. The clocks went forward this morning so I know it will be hard getting up tomorrow. I hope you are well and happy sweetheart.

Waiting for Spring

Hi Zach, we are waiting for spring to come here in Benicia as most days have been  rainy and chilly. Your mom has always loved beach weather and can’t wait for summer lol. Hope that wherever you are, you are enjoying the outdoors. Aside from celebrating Jeff’s 54th birthday, February was fairly quiet around here. I have been working a lot of shifts at the winery which is still the best job ever and Jeff and I have been preparing for the first vacation. we have had alone together in two years. We flew down to Curaçao, which is part of the Netherland Antilles and is close to Aruba. We had a very relaxing and amazing time in the warm weather and on the beautiful beaches. Came home to that drizzly chill and are back to waiting for sunshine. I often wonder if you travel for fun and if so, what places you have discovered and if you have any favorites. We have a couple more trips coming up this year, one to visit your uncle Gregg and auntie Kim now that they live in Portugal. Al...

Holiday Spirit

  Dear Zach, hoping you got the Christmas and birthday cards I sent to you. Cannot believe you are 30 years old now. I can’t really say time has flown given  that not being able to see you has left a huge void in our lives. The holiday season is always bittersweet in that our family always finds ways to celebrate and love one another, but there  are always thoughts of missing  you intertwined.  Jeff and I flew Cody down for the Benicia annual Christmas tree lighting and to see Nana and granddad. It was a short but very special weekend. I have included the video where Cody surprised your grandparents with his visit. It made them both so happy. It was Jeff’s family’s turn for Christmas so we flew up to Washington to be with his nephew, Maxon and the rest of the family. When I’m Sixty-Four.

Hi Zach, well, now I am officially the age of a Beatles song. It’s hard to believe I’m that old and have yet to reunite with you. It’s been almost 15 years.  I think of you every day of my life and pray that you are happy and loved.  Of course, October means Halloween, one of my favorite holidays. We met up with friends to celebrate and I dressed as Beth from the television show Yellowstone. Perhaps you’ve heard of it. Earlier in the month your aunt Christine and I went to a meet and greet for the actor Sam Heughan from outlander. It’s a show. We are both obsessed with that takes place in 18th century Scotland around the clan Fraser. Up until a few years ago, I had no idea that Jeff’s family are Fraser’s and Fraser is his younger brother‘s and father’s middle name. My head exploded lol.
