More festivities abound...

Hi Zach, It is getting hard to keep track of everything going on this summer. Father's Day was spent with the family and a morning brunch down down Walnut Creek. Afterwards your Uncle Gregg, Auntie Kim, Jeff and I got together to wrap up plans for a photo montage your uncle is putting together for Nana and Granddad's 60th wedding anniversary July 16th next month! Next up was Jeff's parents' 50th wedding anniversary, which is quite a milestone these days. We flew up to Seattle for the weekend to help with the Saturday festivities and spent the next day celebrating as a family. There were 30 or so aunts, uncles, and cousins in attendance and that was not counting the almost 15 little cousins once removed that stayed home. Jeff's family is wonderful, warm and accepting and I am sure you would fit right in. Being as I will be Jeff's wife in the near future I was included in a family photo with all the cousins. They really are so special and the anniversary party...

Busy summer shaping up....

Hey Zach, I already knew things would be hectic but this summer is packed with family events and no time to spare. We spent a day a couple of weeks ago with Ryan and Alicia and their two children. Their 9-month old little boy, Zander, is adorable. He reminds me of you in that he is so happy and content like you were at that age. After attending a friend from high school's funeral service a couple of months ago it became evident our friendships from that era were long overdue for a reunion. Aunt Shari offered up her parents' house in Lafayette for the party as she is living there after both have since passed on. It was a lovely event with much reminiscing about innocent and maybe some not so innocent times and it felt wonderful to pick up as though no time had passed at all. Even Nana and Granddad were able to stop by for a quick visit. We made plans to do it again soon. There are many more events coming up and I will write again soon.
