Summer Whizzing By and 60 Years!

Hi Zach, been busy with work and friends this past couple of weeks. July 16 th  marked the 60 th  year your Nana and Granddad have been married. They are truly an inspiration to all and I am so lucky to be their daughter and be a part of their lives. They miss you so much and it was especially hard seeing this milestone and Granddad’s 80 th  earlier in the month be yet another monumental event go by without any word or contact from their beloved grandson. Nana sent a letter to you at Grandpa’s house with some photos. I do hope you took the time to read it and look at the pictures of happier times. They brought a lot of love into your life and expected nothing in return. It is so sad that you cannot see it in your heart to reach out to them. Life is too short Zach and I hope that you will reconsider for their sake. Until then, we will all keep praying and wishing that we can one day soon be together again and make up for all the time that has been lost. I just hope th...

Desolation Wilderness 2015

Hey Zach, well this summer marked our fifth trek up to 8500 feet and backpacking in the wilderness. You probably can’t picture me doing anything like that but it’s the beauty and sereneness that keeps me coming back. Every time it seems our experience is just a little different. We were in a new spot this year and did a lot more swimming, not that the water was any warmer, lol. Jeff and I went with Auntie Kim and Uncle Gregg and had a sketchy overnight at a Motel Six the night before the hike. Won’t be staying there again. We drove most of the way up after Granddad’s 80 th  birthday and a toast to Nana  and Granddad’s 60 th  wedding anniversary so we would not have to get up too early for the big hike. The party went really well. It was up at Nana’s and only a few close friends were included.
