A milestone

Hi Zach, well another milestone has come and gone. I hit the big 55 this week and had a very unexpected and pleasant birthday celebration in San Francisco, thanks to Jeff and his Boss Chris. They took us to dinner at a tiny Italian restaurant in Russian Hill where we met the owner who is also the chef. His name is Lorenzo and he owns the building so he and his wife live in a beautiful home right above where he works every day. As you can imagine, having been to Italy, it was wonderful to meet him and sample the wonderful food he creates. I had squid ink risotto with scallops and langastino, you would have loved it. Lorenzo invited us up to his roof top and living room for drinks during and after dinner. You can see three bridges from the top, the Bay Bridge, the San Rafael and the Golden Gate. Courtney helps a ton with the training and both have now been able to get on  Marki’s back and ride him a little in the ring. He is just so stunning. It’s been a while since I have been around horses, but it was exciting to interact with him and I am  so  happy for Aunt Christine as this is something she has always loved. Later that day we had lunch together and went to the movies and the rest of the weekend was fairly quiet except for a lot of packing as we are moving to a new hous...
