Life after Kauai

Well Zach, as is always the case when returning from the tropics we are going through the letdown of no longer being in paradise, but we are making our own here at home by diving into decorating the house. Now that all the wedding planning is behind us we are concentrating on painting, gardening, and decorating before the summer hits and we start having all kinds of visitors. Jeff's parents will be here in mid May when we will have a reception for all of our friends and family that were not in Kauai for the wedding. Next up will be desolation wilderness for our annual backpacking trip with Auntie Kim and your Uncle Gregg. After that we have a trip to Seattle planned to attend our friend Chris and his partner's wedding. This should be the event of the year and we are really looking forward to it. We also have a couple of football trips lined up of course. Before all that Jeff and I are trying to squeeze in a mini honeymoon next weekend to Calistoga. We are hoping to do a...

Well we did it!

Dear Zachary, well we did it, Jeff and I got married on March 15, 2016 on Shipwreck Beach in Kauai. It was a beautiful, intimate and small ceremony and the weather and setting could not have been more perfect. Cody walked me across the beach to where everyone was standing and he looked so handsome that day, you would have been proud to know he is your brother. You missed out on a wonderful day as everyone had a fantastic time. We held a reception back at the house we rented for the whole family that made for a beautiful backdrop to the festivities. The girls all carried orange or fuchsia parasols and everyone wore flowers or Kukui nut leis. I have only seen a few photos so far but they turned out awesome. Because of the destination the wedding and reception festivities basically carried on throughout the week as we spend time with family and the close friends that were able to make the trip over.
