Celebrities and a mini Honeymoon

T

Hi Zach, well April turned out to be an exciting month. Between meeting a couple of celebrities in a San Francisco restaurant and spending three days in Calistoga doing my baths and massages it was quite something. Jeff and I drove up to wine country on a Saturday morning and did a little wine tasting on the way. Then we checked in to Indian Springs, a beautiful spa in Calistoga that is famous for mud baths and spa treatments. Our stay was complete with fluffy robes and a huge mineral pool to swim in that is always a balmy 104° and is fed by one of four natural geysers on the property. The mud baths were interesting and the massages were amazing. We had a couple of nice dinners, one at a farm to table place that was really cool. Jeff's work had pooled their money and given us a gift certificate there so we had an incredible meal starting with roasted Dungeoness crab and ending with a fabulous dessert of beignets dipped in a bourbon caramel sauce, delicious. All in all it was a really nice and peaceful getaway for the two of us after a hectic week on Kauai.
The following weekend we took Uncle Gregg and Auntie Kim out to dinner to thank them for being so good to us during the wedding week. We went to a private little Italian restaurant in Nob Hill San Francisco called Allegro Romano that is run by a very colorful chef/owner named Lorenzo. He treats his customers very well, the restaurant is really small, and he visits every table with wine, appetizers and little dessert plates. It is quite an experience and while we were there some celebrities were having dinner namely Hugh Laurie from the TV show House, and Gretchen Moll who has been in movies with Johnny Depp. Mr. Laurie went out to have a cigarette and I struck up the courage to step outside and say hello to him. Jeff's coworker was fast enough to snap a grainy picture as proof, LOL. He was very polite and told me about his new series called 'the night manager' that he had just finished, and that they were currently filming a TV series in the area. He is from England so at least we had that in common, LOL.

Well I have gone on long enough this round, lol. As always I miss you and I love you dearly. Please be safe and happy my love.

Love always,
Mom
