Our Bay Are Wedding Reception

Hi Zach,
Well we managed to pull it off. It was a bit of a squeeze getting 40+ people into our house for a party but it worked out in the end. The only snafu was when Kelso sat on the cake box and in doing so ruined the design on top. Lol. Luckily I had purchased a Hawaiian Lei and was able to use the flowers to cover up the mess so it all worked out. It was a wonderful party and so many people came from so far away. My old boss Bridget and my two coworkers from that team came all the way from Minnesota, Heather and her husband came in from Arizona, Jeff's brother flew down from Washington and his parents drove down! My current boss drove from way up in Roseville and others came from all over the bay area. We had the New Mecca cater it all so there was a ton of food as usual and your Aunt Christine made a lovely and touching speech to the crowd. Cody stopped by after work and impressed everyone with his guitar playing and song writing skills as he sang 'Green Eyes' a beautiful song he wrote a year or so ago.

I was able to have lunch with Heather the day before and lunch with my old Wells Fargo team the day after which was nice. Jeff's parents stayed into the following week so we had a nice visit and some quality time before they drove back up through Oregon and home to Washington.

For the first time in months Jeff and I realized that any work that needed to be done around the house or planning for events was now behind us and we could take a break and slow down the pace of it all. Next up is our annual trip to desolation wilderness. This will be our sixth trip up to this amazing place. I am hoping we can continue to be in shape enough to go every year.

Well I better get back to work, just wanted to drop you a note hoping once again you would read this and start to think about your other family. Be safe and happy my love, I think of you every minute of every day.

Love,
Mom
