Updates along with recent photos of Stitch, Rudy and Kelso

Hi Zachary,

Well June has been rather a quiet month, the two big occasions being your brother Cody's birthday and of course Father's Day. Cody spends a lot of his time with friends these days and working on his music so we haven't had a chance to really celebrate. Hoping to nail him down to a nice dinner at some point, but he is a moving target, LOL. Your Uncle Gregg, Auntie Kim, Jeff and I all went up for an early dinner with Granddad on Father's Day. We kept it simple with just pizza and salad. Then just as we were about to leave and head home, Cody showed up! He had to work earlier in the day but ended up being able to drive up and stay over with Nana and Granddad until the Monday. They simply adore him and were so overjoyed and surprised that he came up. It gave him a great deal of pleasure to spend that much time with their grandson.

The rest of the month was spent doing our typical equipment check and inventory of supplies for our annual trip to Desolation Wilderness. We decided to invest in new backpacks so we will be trying those out and of course hoping to keep the weight of things to a minimum. Jeff usually carries almost 40 pounds and I carry almost 30 so it makes for quite a strenuous hike. Still we look forward to it as you cannot beat the scenery and being unplugged for a little while.

I hope you are having a fabulous summer, as always I miss you more than you'll ever know.

Love always,
Mom
