Thanksgiving 2016

Image
Happy Thanksgiving Zach, Jeff and I got a really good deal on flights up to see his parents and brother for Thanksgiving in Wenatchee. So we spent the holiday there, enjoying some snow, Leavenworth, and the annual Apple Cup, which is the Washington Huskies against the Washington State cougars. The game was held at Washington state which is in the town of Pullman near Spokane so we had a 3-hour drive and a cold day of watching the Huskies beat the Cougs and move onto the PAC 12 championship game. We had a total blast meeting all the Washington State fans as well as the Husky fans that drove over for the game. Everyone was super friendly and the campus was beautiful. All in all it was a wonderful experience. The next day we drove to Leavenworth, a town turned into a Bavarian Christmas Wonderland with a Christmas market, Christmas characters and beautiful festive lighting. You really feel like you are somewhere in Germany or Austria and it really gets you ready for the Christmas ...

Husky Football

Hey Zach, football season is in full swing and the Huskies were down to play Cal this last weekend. Jeff's brother Keith, our friends Chris and Matthew as well as my old boss Stephanie and Jeff's friend Derek and his two children Lucy and Neil all went to the game. It was so fun and beating Cal was not bad either. Plus Marshawn Lynch, the retired running back for the Seattle Seahawks made an appearance as he used to play for Cal. He is quite the character and drove around the field with his mom on the medical golf cart, LOL. The Huskies are doing really well and maybe headed for the PAC 12 championship's, very exciting! Not sure if you follow college or professional football but as you may have guessed I've gotten quite into it over the past several years and really love to go to the games. Bet you are looking forward to Thanksgiving break and time with family. I miss you and hope you are living a happy and fulfilled life. Love always, Mom, xox
