A new job for your brother!

Hi Zach, Happy New Year sweetheart! I hope you had a wonderful holiday and a fantastic birthday. Lots going on here Cody has decided that Safeway is not for him. He has been there almost 8 years and the company is really getting bad about how they treat their employees plus the hours are awful so he gave his two week notice and has interviewed and gotten a position with a company called Balboa capital. He will be selling business loans to business customers and will get a percentage of the interest for commission but also a base salary. It is a little less than what he was making at Safeway but the environment will be so much better and he will be able to have a regular schedule from 7 AM to 4 PM. I am not sure if he has mentioned this to you or not but I am so proud of him as he sought out this job, drafted a strong resume and ended up getting the offer which is awesome.

Jeff and I are back to work after a bit of a holiday break but we are starting to make plans for travel this year. Not sure where we will be going but we are considering lots of options. Wondering what kind of work you are doing to keep money in your pocket and if you are still going to school? Whatever the case I hope it's going well. As always I miss you every minute of every day and love you very much.

Waiting for Spring

Hi Zach, we are waiting for spring to come here in Benicia as most days have been  rainy and chilly. Your mom has always loved beach weather and can’t wait for summer lol. Hope that wherever you are, you are enjoying the outdoors. Aside from celebrating Jeff’s 54th birthday, February was fairly quiet around here. I have been working a lot of shifts at the winery which is still the best job ever and Jeff and I have been preparing for the first vacation. we have had alone together in two years. We flew down to Curaçao, which is part of the Netherland Antilles and is close to Aruba. We had a very relaxing and amazing time in the warm weather and on the beautiful beaches. Came home to that drizzly chill and are back to waiting for sunshine. I often wonder if you travel for fun and if so, what places you have discovered and if you have any favorites. Holiday Spirit

  Dear Zach, hoping you got the Christmas and birthday cards I sent to you. Cannot believe you are 30 years old now. I can’t really say time has flown given  that not being able to see you has left a huge void in our lives. The holiday season is always bittersweet in that our family always finds ways to celebrate and love one another, but there  are always thoughts of missing  you intertwined.  Jeff and I flew Cody down for the Benicia annual Christmas tree lighting and to see Nana and granddad. It was a short but very special weekend. I have included the video where Cody surprised your grandparents with his visit. It made them both so happy. It was Jeff’s family’s turn for Christmas so we flew up to Washington to be with his nephew, Maxon and the rest of the family. When I’m Sixty-Four.

Hi Zach, well, now I am officially the age of a Beatles song. It’s hard to believe I’m that old and have yet to reunite with you. It’s been almost 15 years.  I think of you every day of my life and pray that you are happy and loved.  Of course, October means Halloween, one of my favorite holidays. We met up with friends to celebrate and I dressed as Beth from the television show Yellowstone. Perhaps you’ve heard of it. Earlier in the month your aunt Christine and I went to a meet and greet for the actor Sam Heughan from outlander. It’s a show. We are both obsessed with that takes place in 18th century Scotland around the clan Fraser. Up until a few years ago, I had no idea that Jeff’s family are Fraser’s and Fraser is his younger brother‘s and father’s middle name. My head exploded lol.
