Hey Zach, I am sure you are looking forward to the start of summer, the weather is still cold and rainy here in Northern California and I am looking forward to some sunshine. Just got back from another tropical vacation, this time with your aunt Christine. She and I went with both her daughters and their friends to celebrate Courtney's 21st birthday. It was fun hanging out with the young people, we went on an evening cruise to see the sunset, hiked to Diamondhead for the billionth time, LOL and they got us on mopeds believe it or not! A bit dangerous at my age but I got the hang of it pretty quick having ridden one in my 20s. Spent most of the week at the beach just relaxing with my best friend. We had a wonderful time and the weather was perfect. Not sure if you've made it to Hawaii this year as I think you sometimes head to Maui but hopefully if you did you had a fabulous time. There is nothing like Hawaii anywhere! It's just simply paradise. One day it would be nice to visit one of the islands with you. I remember the week we spent on Oahu where are you kids learned to surf. That was pretty special. Love and miss you always.

Hi Zach, we are waiting for spring to come here in Benicia as most days have been  rainy and chilly. Your mom has always loved beach weather and can’t wait for summer lol. Hope that wherever you are, you are enjoying the outdoors. Aside from celebrating Jeff’s 54th birthday, February was fairly quiet around here. I have been working a lot of shifts at the winery which is still the best job ever and Jeff and I have been preparing for the first vacation. we have had alone together in two years. We flew down to Curaçao, which is part of the Netherland Antilles and is close to Aruba. We had a very relaxing and amazing time in the warm weather and on the beautiful beaches. Came home to that drizzly chill and are back to waiting for sunshine. I often wonder if you travel for fun and if so, what places you have discovered and if you have any favorites. We have a couple more trips coming up this year, one to visit your uncle Gregg and auntie Kim now that they live in Portugal. Al...

Holiday Spirit

  Dear Zach, hoping you got the Christmas and birthday cards I sent to you. Cannot believe you are 30 years old now. I can’t really say time has flown given  that not being able to see you has left a huge void in our lives. The holiday season is always bittersweet in that our family always finds ways to celebrate and love one another, but there  are always thoughts of missing  you intertwined.  Jeff and I flew Cody down for the Benicia annual Christmas tree lighting and to see Nana and granddad. It was a short but very special weekend. I have included the video where Cody surprised your grandparents with his visit. It made them both so happy. It was Jeff’s family’s turn for Christmas so we flew up to Washington to be with his nephew, Maxon and the rest of the family. When I’m Sixty-Four.

Hi Zach, well, now I am officially the age of a Beatles song. It’s hard to believe I’m that old and have yet to reunite with you. It’s been almost 15 years.  I think of you every day of my life and pray that you are happy and loved.  Of course, October means Halloween, one of my favorite holidays. We met up with friends to celebrate and I dressed as Beth from the television show Yellowstone. Perhaps you’ve heard of it. Earlier in the month your aunt Christine and I went to a meet and greet for the actor Sam Heughan from outlander. It’s a show. We are both obsessed with that takes place in 18th century Scotland around the clan Fraser. Up until a few years ago, I had no idea that Jeff’s family are Fraser’s and Fraser is his younger brother‘s and father’s middle name. My head exploded lol. Thanksgiving was quiet as Nana and granddad don’t eat much so taking them to a restaurant where they are serving a huge meal is not ideal. Instead, Jeff and I spent the...
