Is it really 2019?

Happy New Year Zach! Well the Washington Huskies made it all the way to the Rose Bowl. They had not done that in probably 20 years I think. Anyway we drove down to Santa Clarita to stay with Karen, Paul, and Bridget. They live fairly close to Pasadena where the Rose Bowl is played. Jeff’s brother Keith flew in so we could all attend the game together. There was an alumni event beforehand so we got to hang out with Jeff’s cousins and other friends that were down there for the game. Of course we lost as we are nowhere near as good as Ohio St. We did have a really good time though and managed to spend the day at Universal studios. Haven’t been there since I took you and Cody that one year. They have added quite a bit of entertainment to the park and it wasn’t too crowded so we really enjoyed ourselves. The Harry Potter section of the park was truly amazing. They made it snow and had an amazing light show at night. And of course the ride through Hogwarts was fantastic! Cody has begun to work for security firms and is still working on his music, mostly with his friend Lucas who is a music producer. They have put on a couple of shows at some clubs in Walnut Creek with pretty good attendance. Hope you had a safe and happy new year my love. I miss you so much and I think this time of year is the hardest, though it’s all hard not seeing you and watching you live your life. Until next time…

Love,

Mom
