Engagements

Hi Zach, I may have forgotten to mention that Jessica Campbell got engaged later last year and she is marrying a wonderful guy whose name is Jake. Their wedding will be in Tahoe in May. It’s really hard to believe you are all at the age where events like this will be happening. Mitch got married last year and now his wife Connor is pregnant. Anyway I was invited to the shower and those are big productions these days. Lots of decorations and favors and backdrops and photo ops etc. Very different than when I was going through that process. Jessica looked beautiful and she is so happy. I have met Jake and he is a wonderful guy.  So looking forward to the wedding as we will be called on to help with some of the planning and arrangements that day. Some other good news is that Courtney is pregnant. She has been dating a guy she met while going to college in Reno. His name is Dylan and he is a little older than Courtney and has a degree in biology and joined the Army last winter. They will get married soon in a small ceremony and have a larger wedding later on. Lots going on up here in Northern California. Hope things in SoCal are going well for you. You can always reach out anytime as I will always be here. I miss you so much and think of you every day.

Waiting for Spring

Hi Zach, we are waiting for spring to come here in Benicia as most days have been  rainy and chilly. Your mom has always loved beach weather and can’t wait for summer lol. Hope that wherever you are, you are enjoying the outdoors. Aside from celebrating Jeff’s 54th birthday, February was fairly quiet around here. I have been working a lot of shifts at the winery which is still the best job ever and Jeff and I have been preparing for the first vacation. we have had alone together in two years. We flew down to Curaçao, which is part of the Netherland Antilles and is close to Aruba. We had a very relaxing and amazing time in the warm weather and on the beautiful beaches. Came home to that drizzly chill and are back to waiting for sunshine. I often wonder if you travel for fun and if so, what places you have discovered and if you have any favorites. We have a couple more trips coming up this year, one to visit your uncle Gregg and auntie Kim now that they live in Portugal. Al...

Holiday Spirit

  Dear Zach, hoping you got the Christmas and birthday cards I sent to you. Cannot believe you are 30 years old now. I can’t really say time has flown given  that not being able to see you has left a huge void in our lives. The holiday season is always bittersweet in that our family always finds ways to celebrate and love one another, but there  are always thoughts of missing  you intertwined.  Jeff and I flew Cody down for the Benicia annual Christmas tree lighting and to see Nana and granddad. It was a short but very special weekend. I have included the video where Cody surprised your grandparents with his visit. It made them both so happy. It was Jeff’s family’s turn for Christmas so we flew up to Washington to be with his nephew, Maxon and the rest of the family. When I’m Sixty-Four.

Hi Zach, well, now I am officially the age of a Beatles song. It’s hard to believe I’m that old and have yet to reunite with you. It’s been almost 15 years.  I think of you every day of my life and pray that you are happy and loved.  Of course, October means Halloween, one of my favorite holidays. We met up with friends to celebrate and I dressed as Beth from the television show Yellowstone. Perhaps you’ve heard of it. Earlier in the month your aunt Christine and I went to a meet and greet for the actor Sam Heughan from outlander. It’s a show. We are both obsessed with that takes place in 18th century Scotland around the clan Fraser. Up until a few years ago, I had no idea that Jeff’s family are Fraser’s and Fraser is his younger brother‘s and father’s middle name. My head exploded lol.
