End of summer travel

Hey Zach,  I hope you have been enjoying your summer wherever that may be. I went on my annual girls trip with eight other women this time. We stayed at a high-rise condo north of Honolulu Airport on Oahu in a place called Ko Olina. The development was right between the Marriott and the four seasons where they all have custom lagoons on the coast. The condo had three bedrooms and was almost 1700 ft.² so there was plenty of room for the nine of us. We ventured into Waikiki on a couple of the days and went to the North Shore for an afternoon to see the turtles. All in all it was a fabulous trip with lots of downtime and of course floating on the ocean. Next up was desolation wilderness, our annual trek with your auntie Kim and uncle Gregg. Uncle Gregg‘s friend David came as well as auntie Kim’s sister and her daughter Bethany. We had a fabulous time and even though I am closing in on 60, I made it up the mountain once again. We plan on getting at least 10 trips under our belt and this was number eight. It is so pristine and beautiful up there,  it will be hard to give it up. We will have to find a less arduous place to get to but just as beautiful, but I’m not sure such a place exists. Anyway now that we are back heading into football season as well as soccer given that Jeff has picked up granddad’s team Aston Villa from England. Cody is doing very well And still has his job with the security company as a supervisor. He is living in a house with a roommate and they are managing things just fine which is awesome. As I said not sure where you are living at the moment but I hope you are surrounded by friends and are happy. I will write again soon.

Love always,

Mom
