Hey Zach, I forgot to tell you that Courtney gave birth to a baby girl last and named her Remington. She is totally adorable and we can already tell she will be a pistol. Aunt Christine is over the moon and has insisted that her grandchildren will call her Meemaw instead of grandma, LOL.  As I mentioned earlier I think, Cody has been living with us and getting back on his feet. He started working for a security company a couple of months ago and will be made supervisor soon. He is working on saving quite a bit of money so he can move out and he’s doing really well. Jeff got us an invite to an Aston Villa get-together with the local chapter for the team. It was at a pub in San Francisco and really fun. We also did a practice run at a brewery near your uncle Gregg’s for our trip to Oktoberfest in Munich next year. Our friends Derek and Emilee went as well as your uncle Greg and auntie Kim, and we all dressed up  traditional Bavarian wear in order to attend. We made quite a showing and are excited to wear it for the real thing! Not much else going on just working and living life. Hope you are doing the same and that you are happy. I love and miss you very much

Waiting for Spring

Hi Zach, we are waiting for spring to come here in Benicia as most days have been  rainy and chilly. Your mom has always loved beach weather and can’t wait for summer lol. Hope that wherever you are, you are enjoying the outdoors. Aside from celebrating Jeff’s 54th birthday, February was fairly quiet around here. I have been working a lot of shifts at the winery which is still the best job ever and Jeff and I have been preparing for the first vacation. we have had alone together in two years. We flew down to Curaçao, which is part of the Netherland Antilles and is close to Aruba. We had a very relaxing and amazing time in the warm weather and on the beautiful beaches. Came home to that drizzly chill and are back to waiting for sunshine. I often wonder if you travel for fun and if so, what places you have discovered and if you have any favorites. We have a couple more trips coming up this year, one to visit your uncle Gregg and auntie Kim now that they live in Portugal. Al...

Holiday Spirit

  Dear Zach, hoping you got the Christmas and birthday cards I sent to you. Cannot believe you are 30 years old now. I can’t really say time has flown given  that not being able to see you has left a huge void in our lives. The holiday season is always bittersweet in that our family always finds ways to celebrate and love one another, but there  are always thoughts of missing  you intertwined.  Jeff and I flew Cody down for the Benicia annual Christmas tree lighting and to see Nana and granddad. It was a short but very special weekend. I have included the video where Cody surprised your grandparents with his visit. It made them both so happy. It was Jeff’s family’s turn for Christmas so we flew up to Washington to be with his nephew, Maxon and the rest of the family. When I’m Sixty-Four.

Hi Zach, well, now I am officially the age of a Beatles song. It’s hard to believe I’m that old and have yet to reunite with you. It’s been almost 15 years.  I think of you every day of my life and pray that you are happy and loved.  Of course, October means Halloween, one of my favorite holidays. We met up with friends to celebrate and I dressed as Beth from the television show Yellowstone. Perhaps you’ve heard of it. Earlier in the month your aunt Christine and I went to a meet and greet for the actor Sam Heughan from outlander. It’s a show. We are both obsessed with that takes place in 18th century Scotland around the clan Fraser. Up until a few years ago, I had no idea that Jeff’s family are Fraser’s and Fraser is his younger brother‘s and father’s middle name. My head exploded lol. Thanksgiving was quiet as Nana and granddad don’t eat much so taking them to a restaurant where they are serving a huge meal is not ideal. Instead, Jeff and I spent the...
