Summer Vacays with family and friends

Hi Zach, were finally able to properly celebrate Nana and granddad’s 65th wedding anniversary. That is quite a mile stone! Even though this marked 66 years as of July 16, we ended up celebrating in August by taking them on a trip down to Avila Beach in San Luis Obispo County. We rented a house that overlooked the ocean and Nana and granddad loved it so much. We took them to the Madonna Inn which is quite the iconic location. Nana was overjoyed by the decor. We ended up booking an impromptu anniversary dinner there on a night where music and dancing was happening. So they were able to partake and the hosts recognized the occasion by having them dance alone with everyone else around watching. It was very special and marked a new beginning given that Nana had had heart surgery last year and we were finally able to move past Covid a little more.

In September, Lisa, Aunt Christine, Shari and I went back to Ko Olina on Oahu and stayed in a VRBO for the week. It was heaven to enjoy paradise and fresh air after basically being locked up for almost 2 years. We had a really good time and will definitely go back.

All this vacationing gets me to wondering whether you have been able to take any trips this summer. As always I think about you every day and hope that you are happy and that people are treating you well. I love you sweetheart.
