Nana and Belize
Hi Zach, big things happening in April. Nana turned 86 years old! She still has lots of energy and of course, goes dancing with granddad, but they have both slowed down quite a bit since Covid hit. We took them to their favorite restaurant in Sonoma to celebrate her special day. She misses you so much and still cannot understand why you have not reached out and she cannot get in touch.
On a positive note, we went with our beloved neighbors to our favorite island in Belize, Ambergris Cay. We stayed in a villa for nine days that had separate units for all of us along with a beautiful pool. The owners were feeding a stray calico named Gia, and we fell in love with her. She ran to greet us every time we arrived back from trips to the beach, or Dinners out. Jeff and I decided we would adopt her and begin the process by getting her a rabies shot and a health certificate. We will not be able to bring her back to the states until June based on current US laws. We are hoping she will be company for Rudy as he has been so lonely since Stitch passed away. Kind of crazy, but we were told that Gia would not live long as a stray on the island based on the risk of being attacked by a snake or a wild dog. I have attached a couple of pictures from our trip. You would love the island as it is so peaceful and laid-back and everyone is so friendly and caring. Maybe one day you could join us on a visit there. I am still hoping.
Love and miss you so much,
Mom
