Big news!

Happy Autumn Zach,

Big news! Cody came down from Portland for a visit and to attend Ben’s wedding as his best man. I took him up to see Nana and granddad as well. It was a quick visit, but so good to see him. Next step was a visit to Washington to hang out with our nephew Maxon, Keith and Lulu’s son. He is such a good baby and is completely darling. We had some fun walks as well as a visit to the local farmers market. Last, but not least was my visit up to Portland to finally meet my granddaughter and Emunah and her mom Jacinda. Emunah looks so much like Cody at that age it’s uncanny. I took them to the zoo for the day and we also spent time at two parks the next day. On the day I left, we all went to breakfast. Luna is so cute, bright, and has been walking since she was 10 months old. She is big like Cody, tall, and weighs 30 pounds! Cody is amazing with her and is such a good father. I am so happy for him. I am going to plan another visit for early next year and we are also planning on a visit from them in the spring. Where Nana and granddad can meet their great granddaughter!

In other news, Nana and granddad moved out of their duplex, and into an independent living center. They have a small apartment right down the hall from the main dining room and are settling in quite nicely. There are tons of activities and trips they can do that are included in their monthly rent. Also included is a cleaner once a week as well as laundry. If they don’t feel like visiting the main dining room, they can order and have it all delivered to their door. It really is a great place for them at this stage in their lives, as they are slowing down and don’t have the energy they used to. I wish you could visit them.

Anyway, hope you’ve had a fabulous summer. I think of you all the time and wonder if you have someone special in your life. I pray all the time that things will change between us  and will always be here if you ever want to reach out. I love you with all my heart, my darling.

Love, always,
Mom
