Family, football, and holidays

Dear Zach, lots of family time this past couple of months. Jeff’s brother, Keith, his wife, Lulu, and their son Maxon came down from Washington in late October for the Stanford UW game. We would see them again a few weeks later for Thanksgiving as we flew up to Washington to spend time with them and Jeff’s parents. It was a great trip. Maxon is now walking and is so cute and funny. It’s pretty awesome to have a nephew. I wish you could meet him. I also made a couple of trips up to see Nana and granddad. Now that I am retired, it’s easier to jet up there during the week and spend time with them. They have really slowed down and as I mentioned in my last post they are now in an independent living Facility. They actually love it which is really good and I feel more comfortable that they have a lot of support around them. We talk about you every time we get together as they miss you so very much.

In between that time your aunt Christine and I went to see Queen with Adam Lambert. It was nothing short of amazing! Though I miss Freddie Mercury, Adam is an incredible performer with a fantastic voice, and he is quite the showman. I often wonder what kind of music you are interested in and if you like the old stuff from my generation. Cody listens to it quite a bit and of course has his own that he works on here and there. He is doing well up in Portland working two jobs, but he makes time to see his baby girl every week and that seems to be going pretty well. He spent Thanksgiving with his family in Spokane and I was very happy that they included him. I plan on going up to visit them again in late February. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving my darling.

I love and miss you very much,
Mom
