It’s Fall Y’all

Hi Zach, here comes fall! This year has gone by so quickly. It seems the older I get the more time flies and the sadder I feel at the loss of our relationship. I will never give up hope that one day we will reunite and all will be forgiven.

August brought the Bennett family reunion up in Bellingham Washington, our third trip up there this year. We stayed with Jeff’s cousin Donnie and were able to meet up with almost all of the clan. It was a very special gathering and meant a lot to everyone. Then came Jeff’s bucket list fly fishing trip to Alaska. He was out of cell range for a week, but thankfully, I had satellite phone information in case of emergency. Luckily, all went well and he had an amazing time. Aunt Christine, aunt Shari, Lisa and I all made a trip to Oahu for a week of relaxation. Lots of floating in the lagoon, reading and enjoying the tropical climate. I think for many reasons, the Hawaiian islands will hold a special place in my heart.

I also had a chance to fly up to Portland to see Cody and his daughter. The weather was beautiful and warm so we were able to enjoy a lot of water fun at a few parks and some bonding time. Emunah is so much like Cody physically, it’s uncanny. She is so tall And so intelligent. I adore her and I am so grateful that I can share in her life. Hopefully one day you will get to meet her. That’s all for now. I hope that wherever you are life is treating you well and people are being kind to you.

I love you so much,
Mom

P.S. sadly, we lost Rudy at the end of September. He was just 16 years old. It was incredibly hard to say goodbye to him, but it was time. He gave us so much joy for so many years and we were lucky to be his humans.
