Washington Trip

Hi Zach, well we are back from visiting Jeff's parents in central Washington. Weather was not as warm as we had hoped but we were still able to do a lot. Jeff's dad keeps the statistics for a summer league college baseball team so we went to a couple of games. The team is called the Applesox and the town really puts on a show when they play at home. All kinds of activities between each inning so it's really fun and entertaining. They one every game they played while we were there. I also went to 2 exercise classes with Jeff's mom, aerobics and Pilates which I had never done. Quite the workout. Jeff's brother Keith came over from Seattle and we all had dinner together one night as well as spending the day in Leavenworth, a very cute town all made up to look like a little German village. Cody's 19th Birthday

Hey Zach, hope you are well into enjoying your first full summer in Texas. It's finally getting hot here. This is the first week it has been over 80 in a long time. Today is a pretty important day as your older brother turns 19 so I hope you are able to get in touch somehow and wish him a happy birthday! It's hard to believe he has been a legal adult for one year already and even harder for me to believe he was ever a little baby. I have the same trouble picturing you way back then as well and I have an even harder time trying to imagine what you must look like now and what kinds of activities you are filling your life with. It makes me very sad, so I try to think about all of the friends you must be making and all of the things you are probably getting involved in. Once again I will make my usual request for you to please try and find the courage to get in touch. It is very difficult to live your life when part of your family is missing. Nothing is ever quite right or settled ...
