Wondering

Hi Zach, no pictures this time, just a quick note. Going to see Nana & Granddad this weekend and that always makes me sad when I think of your not being in their lives anymore. They did nothing to you but love you unconditionally Zach and now their hearts have been broken. Mine has been too, for a long time. There are many days when I wonder how a son could completely reject his mother and brother, his own flesh and blood. Many families have issues Zach, and many members of those families make mistakes. But where is the forgiveness? Whatever mistakes I made, I have tried to make restitution and none were so egregious that utter lifelong rejection is the solution. It makes no sense.That kind of rejection takes a lot of hatred to carry around and hatred is a heavy weight on one's soul. Your brother and I love you deeply as well as the rest of your family here in California and none of us have done anything so horrible as to deserve your complete rejection. I keep hoping and ...

4th Of July

Hi Zach, well by now you have probably been to a few BBQs and seen at least 1 fireworks display. Hope you had an awesome holiday. Cody took a long shift at work in order to get time and a half. He worked that day from 2 to 11 so he couldn't join us in Sausalito for the waterfront fireworks. :(  Everyone else from the family was there as we celebrated Granddad's 77th birthday as well. We had a wonderful picnic during the major heat of the day....it was really hot, then we listened to a Journey cover band, called 'Arrival' that had come all the way from Ohio to play. They of course sang 'Don't Stop Believing' which is now more associated with Glee than anything. They were very good and our voices were horse from singing along.
